This way, when somebody enters mail.somedomain-we-host.com they will see Roundcube. Download Roundcube, uncompress the archive, and copy all the files to the /var/www folder. Make folder ''temp'' and ''logs'' writable by the web server. chown www-data:www-data /var/www/temp chown www-data:www-data /var/www/logs Enter MySQL with mysql -u root -p create database and user for Roundcube (chen ''newpassword'' to something else). CREATE DATABASE ROUNDCUBE; CREATE USER 'rounducbe'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'newpasswd'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES; GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON roundcube.* TO 'roundcube'@'localhost'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES; Exit MySQL and populate the database with initial tables mysql -p roundcube < /var/www/SQL/mysql.initial.sql Point your browser to http//YOUR-IP-ADDRESS/installer When prompted for configuration options enter select ''many identities with possibility to edit all params but not email address'' and select ''Use the current IMAP username and password for SMTP authentication''. Fill in the database info. Other options you can figure out for yourself.
